Enviraz (Scotland) Ltd offers premier asbestos removal and remedial services to both public and private organisations. With over 30 years experience in the asbestos industry, we have built a strong core unit of competent operatives and supervisors who are available 24hours a day, 365 days a year, to provide a fast reactive service without compromising on the quality and efficiency our regular customers have come to expect as standard.

    asbestos removal enclosure Asbestos Enclosures
Asbestos removal is carried out in a specially fabricated enclosure using heavy duty polythene and timber to ensure an air tight seal is created. The enclosure is then put under negative pressure using a purpose built air extraction machine which is fitted with a High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter to draw air from the enclosure, thus creating a vacuum. Enviraz operatives then enter the working enclosure through specially constructed air locks that are attached to the entrance to the area.

PPE & RPE
Enviraz operatives are issued with the essential personal and respiratory equipment (PPE and RPE) that is required to carry out asbestos removal without creating a hazard to the individual. The issued protective equipment consists of;
-
Full Face Positive Pressure Mask
-
Ori-Nasal Half Mask
-
Protective Coveralls
-
General Protective clothing such as hard hats, high visibility vests and protective safety boots

    Asbestos removal Working Equipment
Enviraz utilise a wide range of specialist equipment such as the Asbestrip® wet injection machines*, fine mist spray bottles and negative pressure extraction units to name just a few. The working equipment required for each job will be dependant on the type of material being removed and therefore each site will be subject to its own individual planning assessment.

*Enviraz (Scotland) Ltd are the only Scottish based asbestos removal company to have operatives fully trained in the use of the Asbestrip® wet injection machine.

Decontamination
Upon completion of each shift, each operative will exit the enclosure via the air lock where they will change into transit overalls before moving from the airlock to the Enviraz Decontamination Unit for a full shower and final decontamination procedures. The decontamination unit is a mobile hygiene facility complete with two changing areas and a shower compartment. Each unit is fitted with an individual water heater for the showers and waste filters to ensure that all waste water is cleaned prior to dispersal.

Final analysis Completion and Air Test
Upon completion of every job, prior to dismantling of the asbestos enclosure, an asbestos analytical company accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Society (UKAS) will carry out an air test to ensure that fibre levels are below standards set by the Health & Safety Executive. The four stage air clearance test will be carried a number of stages including:
1.
Preliminary check of site condition and standard of job completion.
2.
Visual inspection of the enclosure and working area.
3.
Air monitoring of fibres present.
The fourth stage is carried out while the asbestos enclosure is being dismantled to ensure that no contamination has occurred outwith the working area. Upon completion of clearance the area is ready for reoccupation / reuse.
